About the Minor Infrastructure Grants

The Department for Education, Children and Young People through the ECU Grants Program, provides one-off grant funding to eligible organisations to complete upgrades to an education and care/child care service premises.

The objective of the capital grants program is to support Tasmanian education and care services to provide safe, inclusive, high-quality education and care to children, particularly those disadvantaged by geographic or socio-economic circumstances.

Generally, the ECU determines priorities for a particular grant round on a case-by-case basis, depending on a range of factors, including:

• the needs of the Tasmanian education and Care sector at the time; and
• the available budget
